Davy Jones (who is the Coast Guard's Messenger) is a small motor boat with a shrill whistle. He makes a small speaking appearance in the episode, Regatta where he warned the Star Fleet that Lillie Lightship was holed and sinking and has a cameo appearance in the episode Sunshine. He makes a small non speaking role in Quarantine as the mad speed boat that nearly crashes into O.J..
In Salty's Lighthouse, he and the Coast Guard are combined together to create one character named Cappy.

Davy Jones' whistle is similar to the Coast Guard's but with a clearer sound. Also, it's Zak's at an octave higher pitched.

- His hull reads "Davy Jones", this is a reference to the famous idiom of the same name. In which Davy Jones' locker was for the bottom of the sea: the state of death among drowned sailors and shipwrecks.
- It is unknown where his model currently is.
- His model was later modified and used for Thomas & Friends.
- His top speed is 95 knots.
- Davy Jones seemingly has only one face mask, along with Johnny Cuba, Sea Rogue's Uncle, Frank and Eddie, Old Rusty, Burke and Blair.
