The Ertl Company is an American toy company which formerly produced Tugs toys. Only the characters Ten Cents and Sunshine were made. The wheelhouses of the toys had a limited degree of movement to mimic how the tugs’ wheelhouses moved in the show.
Claims have been made to prototypes of the other characters; however, only Top Hat was confirmed, who was later canceled.
The Ertl Company has also formerly produced toys from non-Tugs ranges, such as Thomas & Friends and Theodore Tugboat.
