The Fire Department is a service in Bigg City Port. It's seen in the background of multiple episodes and is located near the Railhead and Liner Dock. Fire Tug is usually moored here, waiting for orders along with his Fire Barge.
It is likely owned by Bigg City Port as a whole rather than a specific company.

- Whenever there is help needed, Fire Tug will order any tug standing by to jump in and assist.
- A new set was constructed for Munitions.
- It was redressed from the regular Bigg City set and placed over where Coast Guard's Dock normally is.
- After Tugs production ended, the two Fire Station buildings were reused on the Thomas & Friends television series. The models were used for buildings at Brendam Docks. One of the buildings had it lookout tower and elevated walkway removed when it appeared in Thomas & Friends. They mainly appeared in Series 3 but one of the buildings did make an appearance in the Series 4 episode Special Attraction.
