The Fire Tug (also known as the Fire Launch or Fire Chief) is one of the authoritarian figures in Bigg City Port. He has a major role in the well being of the port and is always ready in case of a fire. He's stationed at the Fire Dept in case he is ever required.
Biography
In Munitions, he was bothered by Bluenose and remarked he was docked and waiting for orders. When the fire began, he helped to put it out. He ordered everyone to stay back to ensure their safety. In addition, he tells Zorran to help with firefighting efforts to put out Kraka-Toa before she was lost.
In Jinxed, he put out the munitions barge that exploded due to Boomer's jinx. He also rescued Boomer when the schooner he was towing was struck by lightning.
In High Winds, he was on standby in case of a fire and in turn was unable to help the Star Fleet when the Princess Alice was out of control.
In Quarantine, he was involved in a rescue operation for the Fultan Ferry after she was accidentally holed and sunk by O.J.. He told Ten Cents that he would like for him to report the incident later and supervised Mighty Moe in lifting the Ferry back above surface.
In Bigg Freeze, he was told by Sea Rogue about Zip and Zug who had taken a Fire Dept. barge and used it to trap Ten Cents and Sunshine in a creek.

His whistle sounds like a quiet, middle-pitched horn. His whistle is a recording of the Staten Island Ferry.
He also has a typical emergency siren.
Personality
Fire Tug is very level-headed and doesn't waste time in an emergency. He's very brave and has been seen rushing to an emergency when needed. This is best shown by the fact he is always seen standing by a liner docking in case of possible danger.
Livery
Fire Tug's hull is painted in red and white with 'FIRE DEPT' painted on. His superstructure is all white with a red deck. His smokestack is painted red on the bottom and white on the top, it also has the Fire Dept's logo. He wears a white firefighter cap with the Fire Dept logo on his wheelhouse and has a tall red firefighting ladder.

- After TUGS' production ended, Fire Tug's model was sold to the Star Tugs Company, an organization which showcases the models.
- He was bought without a face mask, though he was reunited with his face masks after the owner attended one of the events in 2014.
- He is one of two tugs with faces that are unnamed, the other being Sea Rogue's uncle, Old Man.
- His physical appearance is that of a traditional firefighter.
- The Fire Tug was seen wearing his prototype face throughout Jinxed, and could be seen in the background of Sunshine. These are the only episodes where the face was used.
