TUGS was dubbed in other languages other than English.

Finland[]

Tugs was dubbed in Finnish as Purtilot. This version only has two voice actors and was dubbed over the original English audio. The dubbing company that did the series was Oy PVP Voice Ab., and it was translated by Pauli Virta.

Tugs was dubbed in Japanese as "がんばれタッグス" (Romaji: "Ganbaretaggusu" - Good Luck Tugs). It was broadcast on TV Tokyo every Friday from 2 October 1992 to 25 December 1992.

Sunshine and Pirate were released on VHS in their 20 minute format.

The Salty's Lighthouse Tugs segments were dubbed in Polish, as Latarnia Solusia. The studio that dubbed over the majority of the characters was a dubbing company by the name of "Studio Sonica". The foreign voice cast were directed by Krzysztof Kołbasiuk in order to abide with the flow of the scripts produced by both Edyta Czepiel-Zadura and Tadeusz Wacławski. The songs in that dub were written by Jacek Bończyk.

As of today, only one episode from the Polish dub titled "Co zrobić z kocem?/Mewa w gorącej wodzie kąpana" can easily be accessed for people to witness on the internet. But it is very uncertain if the majority of the dubbed episodes will ever see the light of day.
