Shepperton Studios is a studio complex in Shepperton Surrey that was originally built in 1931 as the Sound Film Producing & Recording, later named Shepperton Studios. TUGS was filmed here alongside other films and television series including Thomas & Friends, Star Wars films, James Bond films, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and the 2017 live action remake of Disney's Beauty and the Beast.
In 2010, the models were illegally thrown away without Robert D. Cardona's permission. A construction worker found the models in a skip, salvaged what he could and sold them to a man named Richard. Richard restored the models until he could no longer keep them. The organisation, TUGS: The Exhibition purchased the models on eBay from him. It's believed that many things the builder couldn't save are now lost to time, including all the Masters.
