Takara (Japanese: タカラ) is a Japanese company. They released all thirteen episodes of TUGS in Japan in association with TV Tokyo Network. The episodes were first issued on compilation VHS tapes exclusive to video rental stores in 1992, then later released as single episode videos in the same year and 1993.
Additionally, Takara has also produced toys of the Tugs characters. The four tugboats that were released often came with a secondary character, excluding Ten Cents.
