The Breaker's Yard is a scrapyard where Burke and Blair work. Old ships and boats, particularly ones that Burke and Blair can buy up cheap, are taken there to be cut up and then recycled to be used again. Although the location is never seen in the TV show, it is alluded to a few times.
Bio[]
In Jinxed, Ten Cents mentions a place Up River that is "a ship's graveyard" and "full of rusting hulks." In Quarantine, Burke and Blair relay to Captain Star that their job is not to sit around watching their staff turn old boats into scrap at the yard. Instead, it is to be "always on the lookout for whose next to go," O.J. being a particular target of theirs. In Trapped, Zug attempts to tow an old hulk to the Breaker's Yard, and Zorran tells him that the yard is a mile further up river from the sawmills. Zug tells Zorran that they need to get the rusting hulk to the Breaker's Yard on that day or else it will not be accepted, due to the large amount of breaking up to do.
In Treasure Hunt, Ten Cents, Big Mac, and Warrior come here in search of Captain Zero's lost goods. In the TUGS 1989 Annual story, "Mistaken Identity", Zip and Zug find an old paddleboat which they mistake O.J. for. The two doofs end up taking him to the Breaker's Yard accidentally. Big Mac arrives however and saves O.J.
